The members of the Polk County Police Department are committed to the protection of life and property of all citizens. Services

Patrol - Providing 24-hour police protection of life and property. Providing incident and accident reports, performing keep checks of requested properties, and enforcement of local, state and federal criminal and motor vehicle laws.

D.A.R.E. - 3 dedicated officers providing instruction to area fifth graders on the dangers of drugs and violence. Teaching children ways to deal with peer pressure, saying no to drugs, and avoiding the influence of gang violence and street crime. Annual fundraiser golf tournament helps support the program along with volunteers and donations from citizens. Officers are also available to speak at events for all civic, religious, and children's organizations.

S.R.O - 3 School Resource Officers provide security at all county schools. One officer is assigned to each high school, and the third officer provides a floating patrol at all other public schools with in the county. Officers also provide security when requested at various school events and activities as well as speaking to students on or off campus at the request of individuals. Officers enforce state, federal, and local traffic and criminal laws on and around school campuses.

Criminal Investigations - Detectives within this division provide follow up investigation on reports of crime against persons or property. The Criminal Investigations Division is committed to regulating and eradicating theft, burglary, homicide, and suicide cases within the county.

Drug Investigations - Drug Agents are responsible for receiving and answering complaints pertaining to drug activities of individuals and locations targeting mid to high level illegal narcotic distribution networks and organizations within the Polk County community.
