Did you know?
With the weather finally getting warmer and the daylight longer it seems that the earth is wakening from its winter slumber. Very soon, animals will be giving birth to their young, especially dogs and cats. It should be a wonderful time of year, but for people involved with animal welfare such as the Polk County Animal Control Staff and Board and the Polk County Humane Society, this can be a very stressful and frustrating time of year.
